Funnel Juice

Funnel Juice Privacy Policy

At a glance

Funnel Juice analyzes your App Store portfolio on your device. We do not operate a server that receives your Apple API keys, downloaded portfolio reports or downloaded pricing data. The app does not include advertising or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs. It does make network requests to Apple and public data providers. If you email us or share an export, the information you choose to send leaves your device.

The provider responsible for Funnel Juice and support correspondence is the developer identified on the app's App Store product page ("we", "us"). Privacy questions: funnel-juice-app@tony.expert.

1. Apple connection and official reports

The native connection uses an App Store Connect API key, its Key ID and Issuer ID, and a Vendor Number where a report requires it. Credentials are kept in device-only, non-synchronizing Keychain items. The private signing key is used locally to create short-lived authentication tokens; those tokens are sent to Apple to authorize API requests. The private key itself is not sent to us or to public data providers. The app does not ask for your Apple Account password or two-factor authentication code. If you open Apple's website, Apple handles that sign-in separately.

Funnel Juice uses Apple's official APIs and official reports to retrieve the apps, prices and price schedules, aggregated performance and financial data, public review content and other report fields available to your account. It stores and analyzes this information locally to provide charts, comparisons, experiments, exports and refresh status. Separate Apple teams have separate credential items and report caches.

Apple controls whether and when these APIs and reports are available, including permissions, privacy thresholds, missing fields, historical coverage and later corrections. This policy does not promise that all data visible in App Store Connect will also be available to the app. Apple's handling of information on its own services is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

2. What is stored on your device

Local data includes downloaded reports and their processing metadata; app and country metrics; price schedules; experiments and results; chosen filters and cohorts; team display names; and app, notification and widget preferences. It also includes accepted exchange-rate evidence: the requested date, rate date, provider, retrieval time and last successful quote used for an estimate. Analysis does not require installing a tracking SDK in your apps. Country-level purchasing-power comparisons are not profiles of individual buyers.

The app also keeps a bounded local performance journal to investigate hangs and slow screens, including timing, app/build version, system state and diagnostics provided by Apple's MetricKit. This journal is retained for up to 14 days and is not automatically uploaded to us. Local journal events and screen-readiness timings are not external product analytics and are not transmitted to the developer automatically. They are separate from your portfolio reports. Apple may separately process App Store or device diagnostics under its own policies and your Apple settings.

The app and its widget share a local summary through an Apple App Group. The widget does not require uploading the summary to a Funnel Juice server. Widget privacy settings can hide monetary values. Device storage protections reduce risk but cannot make a compromised or unlocked device completely secure. Device-only API credentials do not synchronize through iCloud Keychain; this does not make a blanket promise about operating-system backups of other data.

3. Network requests and external services

Except where a provider expressly states otherwise, network providers may receive information necessary to serve a request, such as your IP address, requested resource and ordinary connection metadata, and may keep service logs under their own policies. On-device analysis does not mean that no network metadata is processed by anyone. These services may operate in countries other than yours.

Successful exchange-rate responses are cached on your device. If a provider is unavailable or slow, Funnel Juice can reuse the last valid cached quote so a previously complete report remains usable, then attempt an update later. The app keeps the quote's actual rate date and retrieval time; it does not relabel a cached or latest quote as a historical rate for the report event date. Cached rates can be stale and are for display estimates only. Native report values and Apple's financial records are not replaced.

See Frankfurter, ExchangeRate-API's terms and privacy information and the World Bank privacy notice. Opening an external website or using another app is subject to that service's own privacy practices.

4. Notifications, exports and feedback

With notification permission, Funnel Juice can check for report updates when iOS allows background execution, then create local notifications. It creates at most one summary notification after a successful refresh rather than sending one notification for every observed sale, refund, review or other report event. Delivery is opportunistic and iOS may delay, group or omit it. There is no Funnel Juice remote-notification server receiving your report contents. App or territory names may be visible in notifications if you enable detailed content; device notification settings control where previews appear.

Exports are created locally. You choose whether to share them and which app, person or storage service receives them. They can contain commercially sensitive portfolio figures even when authentication secrets are excluded. Review the content and destination before sharing.

Feedback opens your email app with our address. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it; no reports, credentials or diagnostic attachments are added automatically. If you contact us, we receive your address, message and any attachments you choose to include. We use them to respond, troubleshoot and improve the app, not for advertising. Email is handled by your mail provider and our support mail provider. Please do not send API keys, tokens or unredacted private reports. We may ask for minimal, redacted information if needed.

5. Retention, deletion and control

Downloaded history and local analysis remain available until you clear them or they are removed through app/device storage management; caches may also be refreshed or evicted. Use Clear Cache & Local Data for the selected Apple team to remove its downloaded reports and local analysis. The connection key is kept so you can refresh again. Disconnect Apple removes that team's locally stored connection credentials; previously downloaded reports can remain until you clear them. For full local cleanup, clear data for each team and disconnect its credentials. Uninstalling alone should not be relied on to revoke a key.

Only Apple can revoke an API key at its service. Disconnecting, clearing local data or uninstalling Funnel Juice does not delete data held by Apple or cancel Apple-accepted price schedules. Copies you exported to other services must be managed there. Backup retention is controlled separately by your device and backup provider.

We retain support correspondence only as needed to respond, resolve the issue, maintain necessary security records or meet legal obligations. Request deletion by emailing us; where retention is legally required, we will explain the limit. We cannot remotely read or delete the app's local reports because we do not have a server-side copy. Support-mail retention and backup practices must be confirmed before this draft is published.

6. Your rights and questions

Where applicable law provides them, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal information we hold, or object to its processing. If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Support information is used to answer your request and pursue our legitimate interest in reliable, secure support, subject to applicable law. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority. Contact us using the address below to exercise your rights.

Funnel Juice is intended for App Store developers and account operators, not directed to children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.

We will publish updates with an effective date and provide any notice required by law. Questions or privacy requests: funnel-juice-app@tony.expert.
